A tool that is great for compressing and uncompressing files on the desktop PC is WinRar. I’ve always liked the RAR compression scheme because it makes files smaller than .zip files. Today I was downloading a new wisbar skin when I realized I didn’t have WinRar installed on my desktop. I surfed over to grab it when I spotted a Pocket PC version! Would it? Could it be as good as the desktop version? Well, I aimed to find out.

I downloaded my new skins, and a few today screens, all rar’ed up and ready to go. Then I moved them to the Pocket PC. They extracted easy as pie and it has a nice navigation so you can extract and drop the files into the folder of your choice. Really nice little freeware app, even if it is in beta.
