Bob Parsons, the founder of Godaddy.com has posted to his blog another set of time saving tips for handling phone and email interruptions. Some of the tips are “not polite” and may be considered rude by some. But I absolutely agree with him. In fact, I may have “one-upped” him on his phone strategy. If you aren’t a client OR a friend/relative in my Outlook phone list, you will NOT reach me on the phone. I have caller ID and I use it!
I can learn alot from his email tips though. He says that messages that aren’t short and get straight to the point are deleted immediately. I will be keeping my emails concise from here on out.

It’s really all about taking charge of your schedule.
Some readers after going through this article will think that I’m rude. I understand that. When it comes to protecting my time I like to be polite, but it’s not a requirement for me – I’ll be rude if I have to. All of us need to be jealous of our time – we have so little of it. If protecting my time means being short and to the point, then so be it. It will be me that enjoys the extra time I have available later. I will have earned it.
