The Jet Lag Visor

by Brad Isaac on November 17, 2005

The Red Ferret Journal has a post today about a Jet Lag Visor. Looks sort of silly in the picture, but what if it works? You could probably hide in the hotel room until your jet lag is gone.

Actually, I wonder how well it would work for people who suffer from light deprivation. Note the price..$199

It uses safe, heat-free blue-green light to biochemically increase seratonin, a mood elevator, while simultaneously suppressing melatonin, which increases alertness to prevent symptoms of winter blues such as lethargy, increased appetite, afternoon slumps, increased need for sleep, and seasonal depression. The technology is also effective for some insomnias and jet lag by safely and naturally helping the body synchronize its wake/sleep cycle without medications!
