My Friday the 13th Bad Luck story

Well, I had coasted through the whole day thumbing my nose at the “Bad Luck Friday” murmurs I heard today. So it was bound to happen - bad luck thought me too arrogant. The curse of Friday the 13th saw me as too full of myself. It was time to put me in my place on this day to teach me bad luck does exist and will make itself known to me so I will never again doubt.
So what was this bad luck I speak of? I lost nearly a week’s worth of programming due to my backup system overwriting instead of backing up my project.

So there you have it folks. Incontrovertible truth written in black and white - with a smilie thrown in for good measure. Bad luck is true and it occurs every Friday the 13th. There’s no sense in trying to fight it, no sense in trying to deny or write it off as coincidence.
But wait a minute, if it was truly bad luck, why didn’t I lose the project altogether? Ahhh…thy toys with me Friday the 13th! You are most cruel with your inconsistencies.
Yet explain to me, why when the bad luck was touching me with it’s most vile hand was I allowed to LMAO at a Jim Gaffigan
Shouldn’t I have locked myself in my room to prevent further disaster? Perhaps I should have, then I would have avoided the successes (some might call good luck) I did have today with a server configuration I did and a report I edited for a collegue.

My cousin had a kid yesterday. It was not only Friday the 13th, but a full moon as well. This little guy should be a handful. ;-)
My younger sister was born on friday the 13th a couple of years ago and she is a blessing to the family…awesome little kid may God bless her……friday the 13th - total myth! however, it was damn foggy in all surrounding 3 states where I live….hmmmm….or is it a myth?

I don’t know if Friday the 13th is a myth or not but tell it to the people who were born on that day and have terribly bad luck. I’m pretty sure you can’t convince them its purely fiction gone awry.
