The 3 “Poisons” of Any Diet

Posted under Fitness

The other day I was listening to The Power of clarity program by Brian Tracy where he was talking about a method that can help you lose 20 or more pounds and keep it off permanently.  He called it eliminating the 3 poisons from your diet.

What are the 3 poisons?

  • sugar
  • salt
  • white flour

By reducing or eliminating these three poisons from your diet you can lose mor weight, sleep better and have more energy.

Personally, I once went on a no-sugar diet for 6 months and got to where people were saying I was "too thin"  and wondered if I had developed an eating disorder.

I totally agree on the sugar and white flower, I would add high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated oils. Except I disagree on the salt. Salt is a necessary part of our diets, and unless someone has a problem with high blood pressure or some other disorders, there’s no reason to stay away from salt.

I need to lose weight, there I said it. I'd love to start a weekly motivation group with the goal of documenting our weight loss.

I was thinking we could do one layout a week with different weight loss topics.

The first topic is:

Title Page with a current picture and your current weight and goal weight (you may want to blur these before posting online.) I plan on printing this one and putting it on my bathroom mirror, although the fridge would be a better place!

Who else is on board with me???

A couple more things, we need to figure out a night for a weekly motivation chat AND I'd love to have a nifty little name for us like:
PAW- Pound a Week
CHEESE- Choose Health Exercise Eating Sensible Everyday

I'm sure you can come up with something better!

Hi!

I have recently been to the doctor and have been told my cholesterol level is 5.75. I’m just gone 27 and he told me that this is too high. He gave me a list of foods, but I don’t eat much of the bad things on it! Is it a case of cutting out take-aways and starting to exercise, or is there more to it?
Thanks
