Build Your Own Hypnosis Dream Machine

Posted under Lifehacks, Tools

Here’s an interesting weekend project for the engineers out there. You can make one of those “Mind Machines” that are advertised in the back of Psychology today and other magazines for just a few dollars.

The instructions are a little rough around the edges — is that a 1UF CAPACITOR or a 10uF?   I’d still like to try building one for the heck of it because I’ve never tried one and the project looks fun.   Plus, I’ve always been curious, just not $350 curious.   Know what I mean?

This is basically the Flash Nap project with a few extra features and some work.

It’s also a minimal version of “Light/Sound” hypnosis machines that cost hundreds of dollars, but if you have parts, this one will cost just a couple of bucks. NO PROGRAMMING REQUIRED!

P.S.   If you’ve ever tried one of these gizmos, do me a favor and let me know if they do anything beneficial or not.

If anyone does this, let us know if you wake up with a panic attack, or you get arrested for something you don’t remember doing. ;-)

I built one and had a dream that I was eating this huge marshmellow. When I woke up my pillow was gone!
