Professor Gives Amazing ‘Last Lecture’

by Brad Isaac on September 23, 2007

If you could tell your family just one thing before you die, what would it be?

Some Universities are now asking professors to give simulated ‘last lectures’ where they are to come up with the best wisdom they’d give if they only had one last time to do it.

However, One professor participant named Randy Pausch turns out to be truly only weeks or months from dying of pancreatic cancer.   His final lecture is called How to Achieve Your Childhood Dreams.   Below is a link to a 5 minute excerpt from it.   Good stuff, I recommend you give it a watch.

I love the “brick walls” commentary. Brilliant!

thank you so much Brad for posting this. To see such courage with impending doom just over the horizon, is just so inspiring. This will be in my head for awhile.

As for what resonates with me, it’s his line…

“If you live your life the right way,
you don’t have to chase your dreams,
they will come to you”

I’ve written that down and will be meditating on that great insight for a few days. Probably going to be a blog topic,
after I’ve had time to digest it…..right now I’m just in awe!
