Change That Perspective!

Posted under Goals and Goal Setting, Mind

Seems like every day brings a new opportunity to turn a negative into a positive. In my line of sensitive computer work, people can panic when things don’t go as expected. I find many times, the hardest part of the job is changing their perspective.

Even with myself, negatives can sometimes get the best of me. But by practicing the simple truth of looking for the opportunity in every negative situation makes the bad times easier. Changing your perspective takes practice. It might not be immediate - it certainly isn’t for me. But with practice and solitude, even my most trying times have been less of a strain.

If you need some ideas on how to change your perspective to work through something negative, check out 20 Ways of Looking at Life from a Different Perspective over at the Make It Great blog.

Here are a few of my favorites from the list:

  • Behind every difficult person you meet, there’s a lesson to be learned.
  • We all have a divine blueprint for our lives - there is a such a thing as destiny and it?s up to us to discover what it is through our innermost passions.
  • Be patient - you will be rewarded justly. Don?t bother seeking revenge - it isn’t worth it.
  • Refuse to compromise your integrity. People can see right through you and can detect whether you?re genuine or not. If you truly care about your customers, friends, family or business associates, they?ll stick with you through high and low because they know you care about them. In other words, they don?t care what you know until they know you care about them.
