The Sili Gourmet Honey Jar

by Brad Isaac on November 19, 2007

Like many healthy eaters, I have a special affinity for honey. I like using it in my coffee each morning. Also, it’s good on toast and about a thousand other recipes.

For my birthday, my sister bought me one of the Sili Gourmet Honey Jars. This has to be the Rolls Royce of honey jars if there ever was one.

As you can see it looks nice, it’s got a stainless steel handle and lid combo. The dipper is made of silicone. There is rubber around the bottom of the lid to help seal the container. It just feels good to use.

My only concern with it is there are little spouts on either side of the jar top. I don’t think the seal works well enough to cover those gaps. But honey is a weird food – said to never spoil if sealed in a container. So only time will tell if these little gaps allow for spoilage.

Overall, it’s a great looking, non-sticky fingers way to get the recommended daily allowance of honey.

Thanks Sis!
